An alumni of the Neighborhood Playhouse, Marissa moved to Chicago to pursue theater and film, but discovered sketch comedy and never looked back.

In 2015, a friend encouraged her to audition for Monday Night Live where director Michael McCarthy cast her in her first sketch comedy where she became hooked on the process of short rehearsals, multiple characters, and getting laughs.
